I've been on a real Marty Robbins "Gunfighter Ballads & Trail Songs" kick. Of course I grew up on this record (note I say *record* - true vinyl!), but I hadn't listened to it in years. But the other day I bought it on mp3 so I could listen on my ipod, and wow...these are amazing tunes. And great stuff to listen to while I'm penning the latest Red Plains chapter...or working on the lettering for the latest issue, which I'm doing right now.

I mean, what beats the elaborate lyrics, soulful vocals, and bare bones music? I'm especially moved by "They're Hanging Me Tonight." Beautiful.
